I hope your new year is off to a great start. We hit the ground running in
January, planning for our upcoming Nashville Summit and celebrating our members
with Member Appreciation Week (MAW). We hope you felt the love! We appreciate
our members year-round, but try to show them during MAW every year.
Have you visited the SIG website
lately? If not, it's time to come back. We just launched a brand-new look and
feel that incorporates our new SIG logo, colors and branding. We also made some
navigational improvements and hopefully created a better user experience. I hope
you visit the website often and provide your feedback whenever possible.
On January 1 of this year, we launched a Member Rewards program. Our goal with
this program is to recognize and reward members that utilize the resources
available to them from SIG. The new Member Rewards program is designed to
allocate points to people who:
Attend and/or speak at our Symposiums, Regional Roundtables and of course
Contribute thought leadership
to the SIG Resource Center (SRC)
guests blogs to the SIG website and tweet about them
Dial into a Webinar or Town Hall Teleconference
Refer a new member to SIG
Respond to a
Peer2Peer (P2P) request
We will be keeping track of the reward points by individual and by company. We
would love to see you become a SIG Champion with this program! More details will
be coming soon.
The other part of this year that has me so excited is
the quality of the abstracts submitted for the upcoming Summit, taking place
April 1-3 in Nashville. What a great city for the spring event! For the second
year in a row, Condé Nast Traveler named Nashville as "don’t miss" travel
destination. If hotel room space—or lack thereof—is any indication, they are
spot on! We are holding our event at the Omni Hotel in the heart of downtown and
it is completely sold out other than the SIG room block. So for your sake I beg
you to get your reservations in as quickly as possible, as our room block is
already starting to fill up. This is an incredible property and it's going to be
an amazing Summit. Nashville is hands down one of my favorite cities in the
world and by seeing you there it will only make it better. Rooms can be
cancelled until 24 hours pre-arrival, so don’t delay in making your reservation
now. With large groups in Nashville before, during and after the Summit, the
rest of the city will be sold out soon as well!
In the meantime, if you
ever visit Amelia Island to escape the cold weather plaguing the rest of the
country, please let me host you in my home town. We have our toes in the sand!
