Happy holidays! It is hard to believe it is already the end of 2013. It seems like only yesterday that we were ringing in this year, and sharing all the great things we had in store for our members. While writing this letter it gave me a chance to reflect back on the year. For SIG, 2013 brought:
A totally new website. New platform, new look and feel, new navigation. In 2014 we promise even more! Early in the year, we will update the website yet again and promise even more streamlined access to content and easier registration for events. We are so excited to unveil some of the new branding to you. We can’t say too much quite yet, but read our “This Week at SIG” blast or check the website often so you share our excitement.
A new blog. Yes, it is part of the new website, but we have had so much fun with it and hope you are enjoying the content. In it we’ve provided highlights from the Summit; shared thoughts on hot topics like talent management, crowdsourcing and conflict minerals; and waxed poetic on top-of-mind issues such as risk management, governance and category management. We’ve even had some great guest blogs from Corbus and Ariba…and we welcome more!
Read and subscribe to the blog and share your feedback with us!
A new Symposium program. The Symposiums, which we held in cities all over North America and Australia gave us a chance to bring SIG to you in a mini-Summit one-day format that included general sessions, breakout sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities. We hope to see you and your colleagues in one of our 2014 cities, including Minneapolis, Silicon Valley, New York, Columbus and more. Stay tuned!
Every year we are excited to bring new things to our members and 2014 will be no exception! As the year unfolds we will present them to you, but for now we give thanks for the greatest gift of all, our members! From SIG to you and from my family to yours, we wish you a joyous, healthy and prosperous holiday and New Year!
